Full/Part Time Associate Pastor & Youth Pastor For English Ministry
Melbourne Chinese Baptist Church (MCBC) is seeking an associate pastor and a youth pastor whose prime responsibility will be to oversee the English congregation.
Candidates must be passionate for God and have a heart for Australian born/raised Chinese people. Fluency in English is essential. The applicant should be mature, and preferably experience in pastoral care.

Background
The founding of Melbourne Chinese Baptist Church is based on the Great Commission of God. Since our inception in 1980 and incorporation with East Kew Baptist Church in 1988, MCBC has received tremendous blessings from God in many ministries.
Melbourne Chinese Baptist Church is a bilingual (English and Cantonese) church located in eastern suburb of Melbourne, Australia. It currently has 250 attendees in three worship services. The Chinese congregation has 170 attendees. The English congregation has 45 attendees of adults and university students. The junior youth group has about 35 attendees. The present pastoral team consists of a senior pastor and a part-time Cantonese youth pastor. With the vision to growth, the two position vacancies will be part of the pastoral team primary responsible for the development of the English Ministry.
General Job Requirements
1. To lead the English congregation whilst being accountable to the senior pastor.
2. To be responsible for the teaching and preaching ministry, and to provide pastoral care to individuals.
3. To work with other members of the leadership team to develop the English Ministry.
4. To participate in the planning and implementation of church-wide programs, especially in developing a new Sunday late afternoon service focusing on young working adults and university students.
5. To coach leaders to build the young working adult and university student ministry.
6. To assume other duties as agreed with the senior pastor or by mutual agreement with other church leaders.
Qualifications
1. A spiritually mature born-again Christian with commitment to full-time ministry and evangelism.
2. A graduate of an evangelical Bible College, preferably with a Master of Divinity and some experience serving in a Christian church.
3. Familiarity with the uniqueness of Australian Chinese churches.
4. Fluency in English.
5. Demonstrated ability in leadership and teaching.
6. Ability to work with others in team-oriented ministry.
